The problem with downloading to a Doc file or Text is that it negates the ability to listen to the audio at the same time as editing (copy and pasting the text to another program). My Use Case is as a student and a recorded lecture. So I listen, then copy and paste specific text I want to remember and study. But having to remove the Speaker and Timestamp is a lot of additional work and frustrating. I was able to find a work around on the Brave Browser but I can't remember how I did it :(

Kethe: In your case, copying specific text (as long as it's within one paragraph) does not copy speaker and timestamps. It's only when you copy across multiple paragraphs/speakers does it include the timestamps/speakers.
As an alternative, I use regex find/replace to remove speakers and/or timestamps. So you could do it in one swoop after copying all your notes

You could just download to text or word doc without speakers or timestamps.
I think for Copy to Clipboard, they can't give the option to choose what gets copied. Some will want speakers/timestamps and you don't. Seems like a very edge case to me.
Another workaround would be to copy a paragraph at a time (though it might then be easier to just download the transcript).

Mahomed Hussein: thanks so much for your comment! It is true every user may want a different thing, and that exporting to word is a possible workaround. Really: we cannot thank you enough for your contributions to this page with many workarounds and replies to other users.
However in this case I still think this is a fair concern, specially for people that just wants to get a few quotes from the transcript. The experience is far from being delightful. We can definitely work on a solution next time we improve the transcription editor :)
