Any news about this integration?

Hi Kacs, thanks so much for requesting this integration :)
Would you like to tell us more about how your workflow with Final Cut Pro and Happy Scribe looks like today?
K
Kacs
Yoel Cabo: Sure. I usually edit the media, then export it for upload to Happy Scribe. After transcription, I export the subtitles as fcpxml and then re-import them into my project.
An option to upload media directly from Final Cut would really be a time saver. Getting the subtitles from Happy Scribe directly into Final Cut is nice, but not necessarily a priority.

Kacs: That's very interesting!
Some follow up questions if you have time :)
What about proofreading the subtitles? Do you do it in our platform before getting the subtitles, or in Final Cut? Or perhaps the quality is good enough? :)
Going deeper on sending the media: How long does it take to export the media in Final Cut and how big are your files usually? And once you have the file exported, is there something about the uploading process in Happy Scribe that you wish was faster/easier?

Kacs
Yoel Cabo: I haven't used the proofreading and translation option yet, but I'll certainly try it out soon.
To your second question, the export itself is fast enough, I use high compression or audio only for the small file sizes. My point is that there are too many steps involved, export, go into Finder, open website, upload etc. It would be nice to have an upload tool with the same functionality that Happy Scribe's upload interface already has, but in the program itself (like Frame.io for example), or like Vimeo has, as a standalone app that takes the action from Final Cut and does the rest itself.

Kacs:
I just took a look at Frame.io's integration and it looks gorgeous!
I think I have a clear picture now: There’s no time to be switching back and forth, checking on your browser and all that. You need to be focused like a microscope in Final Cut.
I am not sure when we'll be able to work on this integration but certainly this post and conversation will help us moving forward.
We'll keep you posted! This was really really insightful, thanks so much :)

Yoel Cabo: Thank you, Yoel . It is exactly as you described, a nice image. I'm looking forward to the next improvements. It may not be as sophisticated as Frame.io, a simple standalone tool would work too. Still, either way, I'm a big fan of HappyScribe. You guys are doing a great job.

Kacs: We are big fans of our users too :) Thanks so much for the compliment and your time. This kind of conversations really mean a lot to us.
I take note of your comment on "standalone tool". I can see how could this could be useful for a lot of users that have similar workflows. Thanks!
