Timestamp settings when exporting
M
Michael
Ability to adjust timestamps when downloading a document. Ability to select following types of timestamps:
1) default 00:00:00.000
2) hours / minutes / seconds - 00:00:00
3) minutes / seconds - 00:00
This would be most useful when uploading transcripts to the descriptions on YouTube, which only needs to see minutes & seconds. To optimize space in description that means I have to download transcript to work, delete the extra characters at each timestamp, then paste into description in YouTube

Yeah, this was actually something I found really annoying. I've worked around it in Word, which is probably why I never logged this. FYI, in case it helps you until HS implement this (if at all).
To get the format for number 2 (my preference):
In word, press Ctrl + H and put this text in the find and replace fields respectively:
Find:
(\[??:??:??)(\.???)(\])
replace with:
\1\3
Click More > >
and choose "Use wildcards". This will remove the milliseconds.
To get it into the right format for number three, use:
Find:
(\[??:??)(:??)(\.???)(\])
replace with:
\1\4

I was just going to leave a Feature request about this! But since Michael added it, I'd like to +1 on it, too, please. Thanks! And thank you to Mahomed for giving us a work-around! I'm going to bookmark this page. :-)
